Healthcare is provided by humans who do make mistakes, underestimate risks, take shortcuts, and have accidents. Ive worked in hospitals, pre -hospital care, and public health, and I disagree with the decision to bring Ebola to this continent. I know infection control goes horribly wrong all the time, even in the best hospitals. One slip, one miscalculation, one little thing that goes unconsidered, and this can suddenly become an American outbreak. Lets hope that doesnt happen, but if it does, it will be the fault of those who decided to take this risk regardless of those who opposed it. Oh, and if everything turns out just fine, dont think that makes this right. All that will prove is they were either right or lucky.
