Healthy guilt free treat bars to make that journey to weight loss and a healthy life style a little easier and interesting!!! Recipe for Paleo bars: 2 o r3 bags of 200g unsalted mixed nuts (not peanuts) 1 or 2 cup of Desiccated coconut ( this creates bulk for a big batch) 1/2 a cup of coconut oil 1/2 pot of almond butter 170g (optional) 2 tablespoons of vanilla essence 2-3 tablespoons of honey 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (optional) 1/4 cup of flaxseed 1/4 cup of mixed seeds (optional) 1. Crush the nuts by hand or food processor by hand is nicer 2. Add nuts, seeds, coconut, protein powder to a large bowl and mix together 3. Warm the coconut oil, almond butter, and add the vanilla essence, honey and mix in a pot 4. Add warm liquid to the dry nut mix 5. Spoon in to shallow cake trays and flatten with back of a spoon, about an inch think or to whatever thickness preferred pack it down tight. And leave in fridge to cool and set......
