Heaps of praise to the Atomique Productions crew for Rock The Shores tonight. Its the little things. Easy, free parking. Water stations. Being able to bring in a picnic basket and not feeling like youre doing something wrong. Having the choice to have a beer or two without being stuck in a kennel. The kindness of a staff member at the will call, who happens to be a friend, but who didnt see me and didnt realize it was my kid who needed a band aid, and happily rummaged through her purse for said band aid and a lollipop ta boot! Seriously, true character moment right there...the kid was patched up and ready to kick a ball around while The Cult banged out the hits. And that they released a generous amount of passes to striking BCTF teachers. I mustve run into a dozen very appreciative friends and colleagues. This meant a lot to people and the first time Ive seen some people smile in months. The weather was glorious. Get out to the park this weekend if you can. And finally, in complete earnest, and you can kick me off the internet for this and not an ounce will be given: Tom Cochrane and Red Rider were SO GOOD.
