Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth!! For the Lord has spoken: I HAVE NOURISHED AN DBROUGHT UP CHILDREN, AND THEY HAVE REBELLED AGAINST ME; THE OX KNOWS ITS OWNER AND THE DONKEY ITS MASTERS CRIB, BUT ISRAEL DOES NOT KNOW.... MY PEOPLE DO NOT CONSIDER Isaiah 1:2,3 Even an ox and donkey recognize the owner who feeds them, so they do not rebel against him. But Israel....Gods own children whom He nourished and brought up (v2), had rebelled against Him. Gods relationship with His people is personal.... For He said, Surely they ARE My people, Children who will not lie. So He became their Savior. Isaiah 63:8 Just as godly parents expect godly children(Prov 22:6) ....so God Himself expects godly children We are united to God by 1. The blood and history through Abrahams flesh(Isaiah 48:1; Exodus 3:7) 2. Inwardly through Abrahams faith and obedience(Lev26:12; Deut 29:13) Exodus 4:22 Then you shall say to Pharoah, Thus says the Lord: ISRAEL IS MY SON, MY FIRSTBORN. SO I SAY TO YOU, LET MY SON GO THAT HE MAY SERVE ME. Israel was Gods son, and naturally God was/is their Father. ALL WHO BELIEVE IN GODS SON ARE GODS CHILDREN!!!! OUR LORD REGARDS US AS HIS CHILDREN!!!! We must recognize Christ as our Savior!! WITHOUT FAITH IN HIM - - - WE ARE NOTHING!! Faith is an important aspect of Christianity Dont let your faith waver when things in life dont go as planned.... remember that God is ALWAYS with you!!!! Matt 6:13.... When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, Who do men say that I am? So they said, Some say You are John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets. He said to them, But who do you say that I am? Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in Heaven. Caesarea Philippi was north of the Sea of Galilee, and had long been associated with idol worship. In the face of surrounding idols, Christ led His disciples into a proclamation of His deity by first asking what other people said of Him. What was important was the apostles beliefs concerning Jesus. We come to faith in Jesus by the Fathers revelation of the Son to us.... John 6:65 And He said, Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father. WOW!!!! The natural man has no ability to come to God, nor does he even have the desire because his heart is hardened and his mind is darkened. The unreconciled person not only doesnt desire God, but is actually an enemy of God....Romans 5:10. Jesus was trying to get the religious leaders to see that if they believed in Him....they would have eternal life. Do you believe in Him?? When Jesus says that no man can come without Gods drawing him, He is making a statement about the depravity of the sinner, and the universality of that condition. So darkened is the unsaved person that he doesnt even realize it!! The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? Jeremiah 17:9 Therefore it is only by the drawing of God through His mercy and grace that we are saved. God enlightens our mind (Eph 1:18).... He inclines the will toward Himself, and He influences the soul....without which the soul remains darkened and rebellious against God. Does the Holy Spirit convict you of sin and a need for a Savior? But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14 The natural man does not have the Spirit of God, in contrast to the Christian who does(I Cor 15:44-46). The Holy Spirit awakens us and created a desire inside of us to seek after Him.... a desire that was never there before. Suddenly our ears re opened, and our hearts are inclined toward God. He places in us a new heart that desires to know Him, to obey Him, and to walk in newness of life (Rom 6:4). Message me if you have any questions, and I would love to pray for any who need salvation, or to deepen their relationship with Christ....or need prayer for any reason.
