Heard many GREAT SERMONS from mnay great preachers in my 50+ years as a Member of Smyrna First United Mehtodist Church but today the message given by Rev. Jim Mitchell was as good as any ever heard and to the point of what needs to be done to revitalize the Christine faith and religion in the world but primarily in the U.S. We all need to do what Jesus told the Desciples as told in the Book of Matthews, 28:18-20. In simple words he said "go" teaching the word of Christ. "Go" means getting outside the walls of the church building and teach other the word of Christ. Visit and be a desciple of Christ to others and do at least , what Rev. Jim implied, What Walt Disney has done with Mickey Mouse, draw others to the CHURHLAND of Christ. Working outside the walls of the church for Christ can be exciting, I know, because for years I visited with a visiting team from our church in the evening to homes to let others know our church was alive and it was there for them just as it was for me. What a Blessing, when later someone comes to you and tells you that due to your efforts they are now a member of the church and have had a change in their life. Be Blessed!
