Heard of lots of cases of police shooting and killing of dogs in the last year, but this is a first. Glad to see the officer got more than a slap on the wrist. Kind of messed up though too. Why do cops who violently beat, and sometimes kill, a human being receive paid vacations and reassignment, but if you are cruel to animals you get the book thrown at you? Dont get me wrong, I think this SOB deserves everything he gets and more, but police can climb onto the hood of a stopped car and unload 137 rounds into an unarmed couple and none were suspended more than ten days (with pay). Its a strange world we live in.
