Heard some neat stats recently: violent crime has been steadily DECREASING in America for the last 30 years. Gun sales have been steadily increasing. This may not be a causal link, but also suggests strongly that more guns does not necessitate more violence. And from bloomdaddy, it would take 10 Sandy Hook massacres per day, every day for guns to kill as many people annually as PHARMACEUTICALS do. Interestingly to me, state policies plus insurance and pharmaceutical lobbying makes sure that plenty of pills get thrown at every one for every illness, and we, the most heavily medicated society on earth, expect a pill to answer every problem or dysfunction we encounter in life. Our fix is the 4th leading cause of death in our country. We I a heretic, my communion would be Tylenol and tums.
