Heard this from a wise man named Les Thatcher and paraphrasing so forgive me if not interpreted correctly by me. The more you seek to mirror yourself to your competition the more likely you are to draw comparisons to yourself to them and therefore will set yourself up for failure much more. So if you want to be successful against your competition go against the grain and go to the opposite direction
