Heart Strings Pulled: Today when the rain was pouring so hard - I passed a frail elderly man carrying a bag of groceries without an umbrella ... he was soaked. I was headed the opposite direction so made a u-turn to see if he wanted a ride. He said no, but thanked me for asking. After that - all day I began seeing seniors (and homeless people too) out in the rain without any cover. I seriously wished Id had like 50 umbrellas in my car to hand out!! It dawned on me that maybe I should pick some up and be prepared next time. I often head out for my busy errands often without seeing those outside who are suffering in the winter elements. I am grateful my eyes were opened today. The Thanksgiving season is a special time to remember our own blessings but I want to remember others who dont even have the basics covered.
