Heart of Worship Im really trying to dig deeper into the meaning of this song. The whole song, not just this 30sec video. But Ive played this song numerous times and found myself playing it for youth bands and Id hear the words but at the same time not be listening, because I would play out of ritual and not worship from the heart. When I first started playing a couple years ago, I only played worship songs and thats the reason I started in the first place. But as I got into high school I really was playing more songs that were secular to please peers. But something Aaron, the youth pastor at the Edge, has been teaching is how music affects how we live. And oh yeah Ive heard that a ton of times too, but until I was on my knees seeking God and battling the toughest struggles, I didnt realize this for my own self. Aaron not only teaches that at church in the sanctuary, but when Im in the vehicle with him or at his house, he pours into me spiritually. And God through him has really been showing me just how close I do need to be to God in my daily life and in everything I do. & that I cant do it on my own. And Im reminded of the real reason why I started playing guitar. No matter what the strife, theres so much beauty in this life. And God has definitely been working in my life and has gotten a hold of me and put me on my knees to where I cant go on without Him. Its truly humbling. My strength is in Him and theres no other way I want to live my life, than for Him.
