Heart still pounding.... after waking up in Laylas bed (fell asleep reading to her..again) I limp downstairs (broke a toe or two earlier today) and Im quietly changing into my pjs so I dont wake my husband... I limp out to the bedroom trying to see if my pillow is on my side of the bed, etc and I turn and Layla is standing in the doorway... I gasped so loud I couldnt scream... This dark shadowed figure 5 feet away from me. Then I was like LAYLA!!!! She so softly and innocently, Im sorry mommy. Will you snuggle me? To which I reply, get upstairs now! She runs off crying and I gimp back up the stairs to snuggle.
