Heartache, quite literally a dull pain under my sternum, is how I felt when my mother made it clear to me that, yes, I really did have to go to school; and my father told me if I wanted to be an artist, I would have to learn to do something else for a living. Neither of them ever called my lazy, by the way. But they did say put that book down and ... quite often. There are 435 days until Thursday, December 31, 2015.
