Heavy rains of 50 to 100 mm will be experienced across Surigao del Norte including Dinagat and Siargao Islands, Surigao del Sur, and Eastern parts of Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur through Tuesday evening (Jan 13) due to the combined effect of the Northeast Monsoon (Hanging Amihan) and the Trough associated with the active LPA 92W south of Guam. The rains will be more frequent along coastal and mountain slope areas of the affected provinces. Residents living in hazard-prone areas are advised to take precautions against possible flashfloods and landslides.
