Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust. He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.: We here much about the place of works in the Christian life. Some people believe that works are essential to salvation. Others believe that works are necessary to maintain ones salvation. Neither is correct. Salvation is totally an act of Gods grace. We do nothing to earn salvation. It is Gods gift to everyone who will receive it. However, works are an important part of the Christian life. In this verse from Hebrews the Lord says that He will not forget our works. There is coming a time of rewards for the works we have done in the Christian life. This reward ceremony will take place in heaven after all believers have been gathered there through death or the rapture of the church. We will be rewarded for our Christian works. The Bible calls these rewards crowns. The beautiful thing about these crowns is that we will cast them at the feet of Jesus as a token of our love and appreciation for His salvation. Now these works give evidence of our love for God. Because we love Him we are willing and ready to help others in His name. What about you? Who will you help today?
