Hebron was one of the few towns in the West Bank which angered me - TopicsExpress

Hebron was one of the few towns in the West Bank which angered me when in Palestine. The amount of IDF present in the area, the restrictions of Palestinians to move around their own streets and areas, roads closed off to them, the back end of the big mosque there not allowed entrance to for any Muslims, the end the Muslims and Palestinians are allowed into has boxes which have IDF soldiers inside them watching everyone. To even get in there you have to go through metals bars as if theyre herding animals, waiting your turn for the green light to show before you can get across to the mosque, and then youre checked anyway...for your own safety ofcourse, cause the IDF camp which sits nicely next door to the mosque is there for the peoples protection... Shops were welded shut by Israeli forces, so Palestinians couldnt open them, the top floors of Palestinian homes are taken over by Israelis who send their rubbish down onto the Palestinians below them. Metal mesh and other materials were put over the top to prevent it dropping on people, so Israelis went down the rot of throwing sewage, feces and urine as there wasnt a real way to prevent it coming down...
