Heeyon was raised in a fourth generation Catholic family and as she grew up, she dismissed all forms of religion as being rather useless. Later, she came across Buddhism in Thailand and began to change her mind. Returning to Korea, she started to investigate what Buddhist teaching and Zen meditation could do to help her. Zen in Real Life is a series of mini interviews with Zen practitioners from different countries and cultures from all over the world. They talk openly and honestly about their life experiences, challenges and how the practice of meditation helps them.
