Hello All As you Know with the recent Floods that has hit Bosnia, Serbia & Croatia The Balkans need your help We are calling for help to assist in saving the lives of children, families and animals who have been affected by the floods in the Serbian and the Balkan region. The worst floods to hit the Balkans in history have caused over 40 fatalities and more that are unknown as three months worth of rain fall came in three days. Families, children and animals have lost their homes and are living on donations from the public to survive. As a result of the floods they have increased the threat of landmines, landslides and illnesses from extreme weather changes. The Serbian Orthodox Churches are collecting donations from the below list of necessities that are being sent to assist people in need. Material good donations required: - Hygienic goods (shampoo, antiseptics, detergent, soap and personal hygiene items) - Urgent need for baby and child hygienic goods - Canned food only - Antiseptic wipes and sanitiser - Clothes new with tags only - Gumboots (new only) - Large inflatable boats and oars ANYTHING WILL HELP! Please do not seal any boxes. Place a large red “H” for Humanitarian goods on all barcodes to avoid taxes at the border. Donations are going to the Serbian Orthodox churches across Sydney and received by Serbian churches in Serbia and Bosnia.
