Hello All! Just wanted to pass on some information that I hope will be helpful. Ive had great success with a shampoo called Dog & Mite by a company called Ovante. Its all natural with AWESOME mite killing ingredients. You will need to wash your fur-baby at least 3 times per week with the shampoo. Its time consuming, but SO worth it. I used that shampoo and borax/peroxide, or borax/vinegar dips for about 3 months. Peroxide is good, but can discolor the fur, so I substituted with vinegar from time to time and got rid of many mites. Her last scraping was very encouraging. Her Holistic Vet says we are beating the mites. Now, I only use the borax/peroxide dips about once per month and I wash her with the shampoo as directed. Food wise...she eats Vital Essentials raw and Acana limited ingredient Duck & Bartlett Pear by Champion. Champion Dog Foods are the closet kibble you can get to raw. Expensive, but again worth every penny. I give her a good probiotic, coconut oil, and a powerful immune boosting supplement called Immugen, by Thorne. You can get the shampoo on Amazon.
