Hello All, On January 1st-5th (Wednesday-Sunday), Clyde FUMC’s Senior High Youth (grades 9th-12th) will be taking a SKI TRIP to Vail, Colorado to ski and snowboard, as well as engage in intentional Christian fellowship, worship, and reflection in the evenings. We will be partnering with Stonebridge United Methodist Church’s Senior High Youth—the very church I came from. This is an awesome opportunity to network and explore what fellowship looks like in those cultures just hours from us. Also, by partnering with SUMC our costs will be much more affordable. The trip will include: • Lift Ticket - $115 • Equip. Rental - $48 (additional $22 for snowboarders) • Ski School - $30 (mandatory for beginners) • Helmet Rental - $24 (optional for skiers/mandatory for snowboarders) • Hot Springs Shower Pass $26 (includes two days; can purchase additional passes for $13/day) • Meals and Transportation - $125 o Total Cost = $340.00 for skiers or $386.00 for snowboarders (not including extra shower passes) ***The youth are asked to bring a suggested $35.00-40.00 for four fast-food style meals (two on the way there and two on the way back) plus any spending money for souvenirs Registration will be closed on Friday, November 8th, 2013 & the deposit of $225.00 will be due on Wednesday, November 20th. Deposits are non-refundable, however, students can transfer their deposit to another youth, who can then reimburse the initial youth’s deposit. We hope to make this trip as affordable as possible, so there will be fundraising provided. Youth and parents will be notified of fundraising opportunities as soon as they arise. Youth will be expected to participate or will be required to pay the total cost of their way ($340 or $386 depending on trip option). **We hope to raise about ½ the cost per youth, BUT this depends on youth participation in fundraising. Please return all forms and money to Leslie at the front office of Clyde FUMC or to me (Taylor Smith) on Wednesday nights and/or Sunday mornings. Checks can be made payable to Clyde FUMC (Youth Ski Trip) in the memo line. You MUST complete the Application form in full AS WELL AS the Rental Release form AND the Ski School Release (if you plan on taking the ski school—I suggest filling it out just in case).
