Hello All, Something VERY SERIOUS is about to take place... PLEASE take the time to become educated on this subject. Our government + 600 corporations have written a SECRET trade agreement between the US & a dozen countries called the "Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)". Two things will happen. 1) In the next few months, our government will try to pass a "Trade Promotion Authority" law which allows the president to create trade agreements without senate approval (i.e. no "checks & balances" to see what we agree to). 2) If #1 is approved, then the secret TPP agreement will be signed into law. This agreement SUPERSEDES a huge number of domestic laws and LOCKS us into new rules for patents, internet, health, safety, banking rules, immigration policies, land use, and more. When Senator Elizabeth Warren asked our the Chief Negotiator Michael Froman why everything about this trade agreement was secret, he replied that "Secrecy is necessary because if the American people knew what was going on, they would try to stop it.".
