Hello All, The temperature will remain in the MID-TEENS until early Friday morning when it will rise to the lower twenties. The light breeze from the southwest will pick up to a moderate breeze by noon, Friday bringing a mix of continental arctic and continental polar air from southwestern Canada. There will be a WIND CHILL ranging from the now mid-single digits to the mid-teens throughout Friday morning and afternoon, altogether another frigid morning. Around 6 a.m. the very southern end of a large low pressure system storm will pass over us. Thus, we can expect SNOWFALL lasting from 6 a.m. until noon. Total snowfall is forecasted to be just ONE INCH. Predictions: Even though there will be an inch of snow on the roads by noon, we expect that the plows will be out early enough to get most of the snow up. Although the temperature will be very cold, it won’t be cold enough for substantial icing. That being said, we appropriate 20% for a WHOOPS SEND ‘EM HOME on the off-chance that they decide it’s too much of a risk betting on clear backroads for the elementary schools. The remaining 80% is to a FULL DAY. This is justified per the fact that at the end of the day, one inch is simply just that—one inch. - Owen and Keillor
