Hello Bridgers, we are shooting our last scenes this weekend for Sluggo the Skullcrucher and we could use some people to come out and be in the film. Please come help and support the conclusion of Carl Maguires mentor project. Sluggo The Skullcrusher - Background Actors Needed Independent film needs spectators for a championship wrestling match set in the early 1960s! When wrestling is banned by the federal government, wrestlers must either conform to a normal life or risk arrest by competing in the underground circuit. When police apprehend Sluggo The Skullcrusher during an illegal match, he attempts to join the office workforce. But can he overcome his natural instincts as a fighter? A rematch for the ages gives him the chance to decide once and for all. SUNDAY JUNE 29 6:30-11 PM - CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH 30-23 Greenpoint Avenue (Entrance on Railroad Ave.), Long Island City, Queens (We are trying to get a large group of spectators at 7 PM, but if you can be on set with us earlier, please let us know!) THE CROWD - The Outlaw Arena is packed with gamblers and drunks, high-society types and hobos, gangsters and their wives, and, of course, wrestlers. Its Late Spring and people have snuck out of the homes to see the championship match in a mechanics shop down by the river. COSTUMES - The story takes place in an alternate version of 1960s America, so if you have a vintage suit or dress youve been waiting to bust out, this is the perfect time for it. Fedoras, suspenders, fancy scarves, flasks and cigarette holders are welcome. No T-shirts or modern sneakers. Colors should be earth-tones, greys, browns, deep reds, navy blue, nothing neon or bright, and nothing white. If you dont have anything Mad Men enough, our costume designer will have some options available. We will be shuttling people from the Graham Avenue L train stop to the location. If you can drive yourself, there is plenty of free parking at the location. The B24 bus from the Greenpoint Ave stop off the G train stops at Review Ave, which is walking distance from the space. We look forward to seeing you there and wrapping this awesome project with you! When we are finished, we will caravan over to a local bar to celebrate!
