Hello Bulgaria Boosters. Reports havent been coming through because the process was simply too complicated to deal with on arrival and during the conference. WE have an awesome team! Mel has guided me through the internet necessities now and I hope it will now be easier to communicate more often. The conference was a large success, according to the reports. It certainly didnt look positive at first but as we entered into Saturday, the atmosphere changed and the heavens opened. The worship was awesome and as messages were presented, the stern faces changed into smiles. Messages seem to be well received by all. One pastor exclaimed :This is what I need in my church! ( In Bulgarian of course ) It was wonderful to see the Bulgarians trying to communicate and include us during the meals.Smiles and hugs and photos were the signs of great appreciation. Several pastors were asking if the team can come to their church next time as our schedule if full for the days ahead. Today, the ladies are enjoying the SPA. Mel is on standby as I write. Stilian will soon be here to take the team to a different hotel in Stara Zagora. Peter and Cathryn , Moses and Rosemary plus Mel, will go to Tanios church this evening. The rest of the theam will go with me to Mitkos church. Tomorrow we go as a total group to a monument that overlooks the city for prayer and declarations. Then we travel to the home of one of the most senior pastors , Pastor Elias. He was Regional Bishop during the Communist rule so he has knoen much persecution. We anticipate a new appreciation for what freedom we have as Christians in Canada. Then we will trave to the getto near Sliven ( 25000 Roma gypsies ) for brief tour and possible visit with a pastors widow. Then we split as different groups Pastor Peter and Cathryn plus the team ladies will go to one church and the remainder go to a different church. We will reconnect at a resturant and have supper about 9:00 pm. then exchange passengers to go to our separate locations. Wednesday, will take us to the Mountains. We will visit a village that operates still as it did in the 1700s. We will go to the highest point in Bulgaria and again have a time of prayer and declarations. ( We believe that already there has been a breakthrough in some of the prayers and declarations within the conference, but going for more. Thursday will bring the close of the trip for the leaders and two of the team. Stilian has a full agenda for the 4 that remain behind. It has been great fun thus far and even though still adjusting to different time , thus awake much in the night, I personally have enjoyed ministry opportunities with others in the hotel. The coach of a soccer team got quite interested in some of the action around the front desk during the after bedtime activity. Marilyn and Marney started with conversation with the desk clerk and the bartender ( he was not at the bar) who translated for us. Neat things like words of knowledge and gold dust had a great impact. The coach was shocked to see that he has gold dust too. He told his team and they laughed at him so he brought some of them to me the next day, that they could experience the presence of God too. All that we ministered to claimed to be Christian already but they said their faith and belief that God is real increased tremendously. The coach spoke English well too. Until they left to play their game he kept reconnecting and asking more questions. He said that Friday night has changed him forever. He asked us to pray for them in their game and wanted us to watch them play on TV . Unfortunately we wer at supper at 6:00 and had service. I never learned of the outcome of the game but in one moment I saw one of his players take a bad fall. It seemed perfect timing for prayer. The desk clerk, Nadia, asked for prayer for her son and was anointed in proxy. She is back on the job today and although she cant speak English, she seems so full of joy and communicates that something is very different for her. ( She had the gift of healing stirred up in her. The prayer support is paying dividends and I thank you all for being with us in spirit. Stilian was not well yesterday and and took time to rest during the afternoon session. Iliana totally lost her voice by last night. Peter sounds a bit growly this morning. Prayer for health and strength is appreciated. Protection too please! Michell nas nearly hit by a car. Crazy driver passed another car right where she was walking. Inches made the difference. Blessings
