Hello Everybody! For those of you who care about piano music, or who just would like to hear me on air: Tomorrow (Freitag, August 9) I will have a 45-minute feature about the Van Cliburn Piano Competition running on Deutschlandfunk. I was there to see the finals in June and had a fantastic time. In the feature, I am showcasing the six finalists, who came from Russia, Ukraine, China, Japan, Italy, and the United States. It helps to understand German, but there will also be plenty of music - up to 5 minutes uninterrupted, rather than just 30-second snippets (although, the program starts with a 15-second snippet :-) ) The program is running from 10:05PM to 20:50PM German time at Deutschlandfunk, dradio.de/dlf, and if you want to hear it live on the Internet, you can click on one of the three links below "Live-Stream" (on the right side of the screen). For example, the link "MP3" should work nicely. The program is called "Musikforum." If anyone would like a script via Email from me (Google Translator rules!), or an MP3 file with the feature, please let me know. I have a user friendly software to transfer large files, which is free both for the sender and for the recipient. Enjoy!
