How To Deal w/ Stress | #19 of 30-Day-Vlog Challenge w/ Bloopers Stress is a common occurrence for most people... which is why this is such a important subject - to learn how to deal with it. On a call this week, the subject became the inspiration for this video. I make a distinction between staying in our Heart vs. going to our Head, where we make up stories, labels, judgements...etc. about what it may be that is going on that we usually dont want to be going on. Resistance doesnt help the situation resolve itself, it just creates in us, a state of further stress and upset about something that is happening... which leaves us feeling dis-empowered to handle it with some level of sanity. To face stress, or whatever you may be experiencing that feels unpleasant, doing so from an empowered state is much better. Dont you think? I share some reminders from the Chinese farmer and also from a survivor of the Holocaust, Viktor Frankl: Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom. - Viktor Frankl Frankl reminds us of the space that we can choose response (vs. reaction) for those things that are happening... so we discover our growth and freedom - to be more than we may have initially thought was possible.
