Hello Everyone! I would like to introduce myself as one of the new admins for this page. I have been in the military for 10 years now almost 11. Boy how time has flown. I started my journey as an Air Force Fire Fighter and than after 4 years a friend talked me into becoming his flight medic on his Blackhawk so I switched over to the Army National Guard. When we returned from Iraq they remission our unit and I was given the option to find a new job or get out. I didnt want my career to end so I went to the Air National Guard as a medic and became the Functional Training Manager for the medics in my unit. I have worked as a fire fighter paramedic in the civilian world at a fire department in the Kansas City Metro for 8 years now. I started at a private company 12 years ago as an EMT. I decided to finish my education and received my Bachelors in Human Services and am currently working on my Masters in Psychology right now. I just started my own Crisis Intervention Practice in the Kansas City area working with families in crisis for substance abuse, mental illness, and relationship problems. I have been lucky enough to have a church donated to me where I am able to host support groups. I also host support groups for veterans of all eras. I look forward to helping others and sharing some knowledge with you guys as well as learning a lot from you guys as well.
