Hello Everyone! Today I am going to post about my Best 10 movies of 2014. I feel the numbers of great films in 2014 were not as much as those of 2012 or 2013. The movies of superstars were also not that good either(Expection:PK) and most of them come in average to below average catagory. Here is the list of my best 10 films whom I personally found good/deserving enough to include. I am not considering a few films(like Ankhon Dekhi,Ugly,Hawaa Hawaai) as I havent watched them yet. 10. City-Lights: I wish they had given some more importance at the background score and camera angles. There were some flaws, but the things who worked were the honest and terrific performances by the two leads. The climax was impressive too. 9. Rang Rasiyaa: After a lot of controversies, it finally released. Had it contain a superstar in it,it would have been appriciated by many. Certainly not a great movie, but definitely watchable! Randeep Hooda deserves praise for his performance. 8. Mardaani: Mardaani is much better than many useless thrillers of Btown. Rani Mukherjee has delivered one of the best performances of the year. There were no songs in the film(excluding the theme song), which was actually a good decision by the makers! 7. Hasee Toh Phasee: simple story with a predictable ending, but the screenplay was impressive. Entertainment level was really high. Pareeniti has delivered a stronge performance. 6. Khoobsurat: I found this movie consistantly entertaining. The performances by all the stars were praise-worthy. The mother-daughter chemistry between Sonam Kapoor and Mrs. Kher worked very well. 5. Finding Fanny: These kind of movies cannt be loved by all. The best things about Finding Fanny were the performances, mainly by Pankaj Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah and Deepika Padukone. 4. Haider: Arguably the best acted movie of the year. Shahid,Tabu,Kay Kay Menon, Irfan Khan, all were brilliant. The background score was praise-worthy too. The cinematography was brilliant. Tie 4. Dedh Ishqiyaa: Simple,beautifully-crafted and well-acted . You can genuinely feel the pain of Madhuris character. Huma, Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warshi has done a very good job too. 3. PK: It was really difficult for me to arrange PK,Haider and Dedh Ishqiyaa in a order. The only reason for which I have placed PK higher was its supremely high entertainment factor. PK wasnt perfect, but there are a lot of things to be loved. Amir has given his best in the movie. The supporting casts were impressive too. 2. Filmistaan: Who said that off-beat movies are not entertaining? I suggest everyone to watch this movie. I was moved. It is an intelligent movie. Sadly,it doesnt have popular faces which is why its the most underrated film of 2014! 1. Queen: Queen is a clear Winner. The plot was very simple. Nothing much happened. But, the simplicity creates brilliance in the film. The cinematography,background scores were impressive. Kangana Ranaut has delivered one of the best performances of the century. She deserves maximum credits for the super-success of the movie. So,these are my best 10 movies of 2014. I would mention Highway in a special catagory mainly because of the wonderful performance by Alia Bhatt. PS: listed it strictly on my own choice!
