Hello Everyone, Were long overdue for an update and a lot has happened. We collected input from the facebook group, our happy hours and and in-person discussions and presented the attached to the PPA last week. Many thanks to Patrick for the excellent presentation and to Gary for boiling down the information we received into a one page list of asks. Ive attached a PDF that contains our one page list of asks along with Patricks presentation both of which we presented to the PPA. We also met with the Bicycle Coalition who were receptive to our plight and interested in working with us generally. They have been around much longer than we have and had some great advice that well be sharing as we move forward. Their primary advice was to put together a one page list of asks, the first version of which is attached here. Gary has generated interest from the AMA (American Motorcyclist Association) with whom weve had a few calls to work on strategy and they sent a representative from DC to our meeting with the PPA. They are interested in using Philadelphia as a template for motorcycle/scooter parking nationwide. Our next meeting with the PPA is October 16th wherein we are hoping to discuss implementing some or all of our asks. We imagine it will take more than two weeks to implement and the pilot ends November 1st. As a result we will be sending a letter asking the PPA to extend the pilot until April 1st so we can iron out a plan for implementing the modified parking rules come spring. It is not too late to provide feedback, well do our best to answer any concerns you may have. We expect a phased roll-out with feedback going both ways both from the Coaltion and from the PPA. Its critical that everyone participate and let us and the PPA know what does and does not work so we can come up with a plan that works for everyone. Morgan, Patrick, Scott, Elizabeth, Dave and Gary
