Hello Facebook Friends I hope you enjoy this new, fun, video that features myself, Joyce Seamone, and my entire band “Total Country”. I am pleased to say that I have a gold record for my number one song, Testing 1-2-3, and I am the only Canadian female in the 70’s who earned a #1 song with a debut hit album. This tidbit I learned from Larry Delaney, editor of Country Music News, Ottawa, from a few years ago. I have performed in Canada, Sweden, Germany, Holland and the USA. As well as being inducted into the Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame (2004), I received the Stomping’ Tom Connor ECMA award for Mainland NS (2009) and many other awards. I have organized the Annual Fox Mountain Country Music Festival, in the Annapolis Valley, near Berwick, for 12 years for the camping park owners. I also look after site bookings and payments, book the entertainment, advertising, sponsors, program design, MC, etc. for them. In this role, I, as well as my band play an enormous part in this weekend. I have a high respect for the guys in my band both as musicians and in the fine men that they are as well. In my opinion they just don’t come any better. In years they have been with me: 26(Gordy Giles), 22(Neil Brown), 16(Dale Boutilier), 12(Bob McDonald), 4(Bob Gerard), 3(Alex Boutilier) and 2(Andrew Kent). I had a dream to have a full seven piece band and that dream has come true in the last few years, as you can see by the video. Also I am pleased to be working with J P Arsenault as stage monitor mixer, stage hand Stephen Joudrey, and Gerald Seamone on the out front sound. We certainly have lots of fun working together. With the success of the annual country music festival, the park owners asked me to organize a variety festival in 2014. I am now organizing the second annual one for them this year, and as if that wasn’t enough, they have asked me to organize the 1st Classic Rock Festival for them this year as well.
