Hello Fellow Booster Club Members, We are very excited to tell you that Comcast Theater was so impressed with how we pulled together and got certified so quickly, that they are now giving us 3 locations for every concert for the remainder of their season! This means we will have the potential to make a lot more money, however it also means that we will have to require slightly more committed time slots per family. Instead of writing a lengthy email, I have listed some important bullet points and rules below: · You will be required to work 3 concerts and 3 football games with 1 floater. (a total of 7 events) · You can trade commitments. If you know you cannot work an event, but want to trade it in advance, write their name on the sign-up sheet with (on behalf of your name ) ex. Mike Benz (on behalf of Christine Coffin) · If you wish to trade after the schedule has been released, you must email the board for approval and make sure the trade is documented. A roster has to be submitted to Comcast before each event and it must be accurate for insurance purposes. · It is very important that you attend your assigned event and are on time. For every person who is late, or does not show, we are charged $25. This will come out of your cut. If we have several absences or lates, they can ask up to leave the program entirely. · The sign-ups in the gym do not guarantee a spot at that event. These sign-ups are only telling us which events you are available for and what your preferences are. We will do our best to accommodate preferences, but it will not be perfect. If you are available for every event, please sign up for every event. This does NOT mean you will work more than anyone else, it only will help with scheduling as some people have prior commitments that already interfere. · We have had several families already volunteer to work an extra event if we get into a jam. Hopefully we will not need to utilize them, however they have volunteered out of the goodness of their hearts and are not asking for more $ · Derek, Idris and some other staff have also asked to be certified and will volunteer when needed if we get stuck. They too are doing this out of love for our kids, they will not receive a cut if we end up using them. · Pay outs for concerts will hit your account Nov. 5th and for football Jan. 5th. Please keep in mind this is based on Comcast’s projections, we cannot guarantee. · We were told that each event can make anywhere from $1500-$2500. This is very exciting as we have an opportunity to make between 20 and $30k for the season. · ATTIRE: Comcast requires you to wear black pants and UCONN games require Khakis. Shirts will be provided and hair has to be back. If you are not in uniform, we also get fined $25. Thank you for the abundance of support and time that you all have been providing. This is the first year for the booster club so there will be some bumps in the road, but overall will be a success come seasons end. Kind Regards, Mike Benz Hi All, If you would be so kind as to forward the following to your teams. Thanks!!
