Hello, Friends! Im feeling led to re-post this prayer today...August 13, 2014 Our Father, As we gather today, there are many wondering if their pain will end. They wonder if they will ever feel whole again. Some wonder if they will ever feel anything at all, as they have just felt numb and empty for so long. Many people try to judge one pain over the other. Many losses bring other losses with them, like a domino effect. Some people have diminished coping skills... others have a life time of losses and grief piled up inside that no one else knows about and so what may seem as a small thing that has sent them into a spiral, was actually the straw that broke the camels back. Help us not to compare losses, but to have compassion for each other, no matter what the other is going through. May we see through your eyes and love with your love in every area of our lives. Lord, you promise to be near to the broken-hearted. You promise to bind our wounds. You promise to turn our mourning to joy. You are not a liar. Your promises are for yesterday, today and forever... and they are for each one of us. What you say you will do, you will do...but we must trust you and believe you and take you at your word. We also must take steps of faith and action steps that will allow you to work in our lives. We must be diligent to seek you in prayer and in your word. You desire fellowship with us. Grieving is not easy. It always lasts longer than we would like. Many are in a dark tunnel and just want to wake up in heaven to escape the pain...they dont feel like they can endure it and truthfully, many just dont want to...God for those who are at that place now, we pray for your angels to be about them. We pray that they will feel your nearness and your presence and that they will see a glimmer of hope...that they might remember that what they cant do on their own, they can do with your help and you are right there with them through everything. Father, there is just so much in this life that hurts and is hard...We dont want to accept the way things are...we want things to go back to the way they were...help us Father, to accept the things we cant change. Help us to realize that people make choices that we have no control over...even when they affect our lives...But you are our loving Father, and even if we find ourselves at places that are not of our choosing, you still make a way. You still have a good plan for us and even though we are on a different path that what we pictured for ourselves, it will lead to something good, because you promise, Lord. Even in death, loss,d disease and heartache, you are still good. Father, for every aching heart... For every person longing to hold a loved one and cant. For every person who is walking around feeling like they are missing part of them...For everyone that wonders if this is all there is...we pray for your Holy Spirit to fall afresh on them. We pray they will find hope in you. We pray they will trust you for their healing. You walk with them through the dark valley and watch over them like a loving Shepherd. You will take them to the still waters, where they can drink of the Living Water that will refresh and replenish their dry, parched places. You will lead them to green pastures...to the land of the living. You promise, Lord and you do not fail us. May they find the strength to trust you with their pain. May they find the courage to take one day at a time...and let that be good enough. May they dare to reach out their hand in the dark and say I will trust you Lord...I dont see a way, but I will trust that you do. Father, we pray for peace in their storms. We pray that they will trust in what they cant see, because they know who you are...you are the lover of their souls that grieves along with them and you have invested everything in each one of us, so we can live life abundantly... filled with your amazing grace. Bless and anoint each one now, Father and we give you praise and glory for what you are going to do. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen Blessings be upon you all! You are so loved! Debbie
