Hello Friends and Family!! I am very excited to announce that I have been accepted to the Urban Discipleship Training School with YWAM (Youth with a Mission) in Dallas, Texas! Its a 6 month training school where the first 3 months is focused on teaching, training, discipleship, community building and growing in the Lord. The mission statement of YWAM is To Know God, and To Make Him Known. Its stationed in Dallas, Texas and we will be heavily involved in the Dallas community for the purpose of loving and revealing Jesus Christ through our love and actions. The second half will be focused on taking what weve learned and applying it overseas (we will later choose where we feel God is calling us to go). I cannot tell you how much I feel led by the Holy Spirit to enter into this new season of being used by Him. I initially felt called to apply to YWAM in January, and as a broken mess, I didnt understand how God could use someone like me. In these last few months, Jesus has brought deep healing to my life and has been stirring me for the more and for the purpose of His Kingdom. I feel called to missions and I see YWAM being the next step into that calling. I cant see the future, but His word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path, and I hear His voice calling me to step out into the unknown. I realize that I am just a daughter of God called to DEPEND on His voice, His leading, His strength, His provision, and His Body. I believe that I am unable to do what I was called to do without the help of the Body of Christ. What Im asking is vulnerable and scary, but my heart is for everyone who sows into my life, financially, spiritually and emotionally to know that this is NOT about me, but its about the One who called me. Im asking you, my lovely friends and family, to partner with me in this call. I need to raise $3595 for the 3 month school itself (not including additional fees) and approximately $3,300-$3,500 for my overseas trip depending on where I go. This would cover tuition, food, and housing. The overseas costs would cover the plane ticket, boarding and food. This doesnt include additional costs which would be for Immunizations (up to $300), books, laundry, internet and spending money. I hope that you all would pray about sowing into my life and the call that The Lord has led me to. Your love and friendship is a blessing to my life.
