Hello Handsome Men! Just wanted to give a few tips to all you dog owners visiting this week. I know you probably know all this but if theres a chance I can shed some light on even one dog owner then thats a good thing. First thing is of course that the sun is blazing hot on the street, the sidewalk and the sand at the beaches. The pads under dogs paws burn very easily and quickly. Best to try to walk your dog on shaded side of street and be careful on the beach of the hot sand. The other thing thats really important in Provincetown is to always walk your dog on your right no matter which way you are walking on busy Commercial Street. If you walk your dog on the left then you are just asking for a speeding bicycle to hit either your leash or your dog and the result could be deadly. These bikers usually dont ring bells or horns and very rarely do they say they are coming up behind you. By keeping your dog to the right, or curbside, you are preventing he/she from moving even a few inches into the street where a bicycle, or car, could hit them. Lastly please dont leave your dogs in cars even with windows cracked during the hot days. I know a lot of you are probably going to tell me to mind my own business, and thats fine, but I love dogs and I want all your dogs to be safe while you are in town. Cheers!
