Hello Hello!! Thanks and praise God for the weather that is warming up! Thank God also for the spring blossoms that are beginning to bloom in all their glory. Canberra will soon be filled with many colours again =) In the midst of our assignments and assessments, let us continue to give all our thanksgiving, praise and petitions to our Heavenly Father daily. Lets not be anxious about anything, but to surrender everything to Him - and I pray that His perfect peace will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Heres whats going on this Friday at OCF, and some of the events that are coming up =): >> Combined Meeting: AGM + Alpha Day (Speaking about the Holy Spirit...) It is that time of the year again when the current committee passes the torch over to the new committee. Do come along this Friday to show your support to Thomas, Gracia, Lydia and Jon Wong who will be taking over Gods ministry in OCF Canberra from the current committee. We will also be presenting OCFs financial statement for the past year, so do come along to hear us out. We would humbly ask that you also support us in prayer for this special occasion. We also ask that you kindly pray for our new committee to be blessed with wisdom from God and to be sensitive to His Spirits leading as to how and where to lead Gods OCF Canberra ministry from the moment they take office. After AGM, we will be having an Alpha Day. All Bible Study groups will be experiencing what Alpha is like this Friday. This weeks topic will be on the Holy Spirit. Lets come together to discuss fruitfully about the Third Person of the Trinity. Im sure itll be one session you wont want to miss! >> Prayer Meetings We have begun our prayer meetings! Do come along and join us for a time of seeking God and encouraging one another. We will be praying for one another, OCF Canberra, OCF Centres around Australia, different nations, and Burma in particular. Do come along and join us for a time of seeking God and encouraging one another! >> OCF Convy Fundraising (Sales Report) If you havent already known, OCF Canberra had a food sale last weekend for the mega OCF Convention that is set to take place from 1st - 7th December. Come along this Friday to find out how we did =) >> A Call to Pray - National Prayer & Missions Month (NPMM) This August is National Prayer and Missions month. This is the time where all OCFers throughout Australia come united in prayer to our Heavenly Father, for each others home countries, for each others OCF Centres and for each of our brothers and sisters in Christ. It is a special time when we remember to spur each other on in our faith through prayer. As we are a part of the bigger OCF Australia family, lets do our part as OCF Canberra. OCF Australia has compiled a prayer and devotions booklet (attached in this e-mail). The prayer booklet lists prayer points for major countries where international students around Australia originate from. It also lists prayer points for each OCF Centre around Australia. The devotional booklet is a good 28-day booklet consisting of material to help us understand the basics of prayer and being intimate with our God Almighty.
