Hello, I hear NAPAS flys without an organization appointed RSO! They just use someone who says they will do that for a given launch (“Any Active Senior member of NAPAS, and may act as RSO” NAPAS bylaws). Our great lack of “West Coast “approved candidates appears to be a major blockage to our hobbies development and growth. With that said The RSO does ensure safety as they take responsibility to to prevent negative outcomes. IS CAR actually DOING ANYTHING about our lack of RSO’s or are they just sitting on their hands with the organization on cruise control? I posted a few thoughts and questions on the CAR forums and no one other than Greg D (Thanks Greg) responded, I have one word for the others board members LAZY another would be USELESS (Atlantic rep excluded, as I can and do chat with him directly)!!! I hear the board is bogged down with personal agendas and is quite ineffective and that it is frustrating that reps don’t get to work. Most articles should be dwelt with in one or a few meetings not years of meetings. It appears that the only ones who are alive is Greg D. and Tim R. (memberships) I have been on several boards and you come to a meeting ill prepared at your peril, that should apply to CARs board as well, if someone has not read the supporting documents then your uniformed questions fall on deaf ears and your vote goes to the president. That should happen with thee CAR too! Also, I want minutes of every meeting posted on the CAR Forums for paid members to read and comment on. I want all minutes of committees to also be posted in parallel threads for the membership to read. (personal information removed) The CAR operates under a dark cloud, it is time to clear the air! Why is the Sporting code still on the Canadian Rocketry website as it is dated 1990 which is 25 years ago and an “F” was an enormous and scary motor as it is the biggest available :o, why are CAR forms not fillable (thanks for the fillable membership form.) Oh Greg, you asked that this type of email should be only aired on the CAR Forums, I would do that, if I thought anyone other than yourself was on there! Misha
