Hello. I will try to not make this too complicated. I lost another close friend early yesterday morning. The third close friend this year. My 911 family is aware of this but I have friends from outside of communications and over the years many have met each other. At least seven specific times my 911 family and my other friends (and other family members) had met each other. 1. At my Mothers funeral, 2. At my retirement party, 3. during my Dads illness, 4. At a birthday party, 5. At Dads funeral, 6. At Dads unveiling followed by lunch at diner, and 7, at my movie screening. There way be more events but these come to mind. It is because of this connection that I share the following comment which was written yesterday and posted on communication page and on my friends wall in regards to my friend Linda, who passed away yesterday morning: I have been aware of this news since this morning but have waited till now to add to this post because of the emotional toll it has on me -- I knew this was coming but didnt know it would be that soon. Linda was a great friend. She hardly had a chance to enjoy her retirement. Linda had arraigned a number of birthday parties for me over the years as well as other events. She was one of the few people who I confided my most personal secrets and she was such a supporter of my efforts while at the job and after. She will be missed. Rest in Peace Linda.
