Hello! If you have been invited to this page it is because I think you may enjoy it. "Exercising For The Health Of It!" is a page I started to help anyone interested, myself included, in embracing some consistency in a personal long-term exercise routine. To do this I wanted to make fun and friendly completion that has some accountability to it. The overview is as follows: -Starts Mon. Sept. 30th, ends Mon. Dec.30th -Competition is points based (no weigh-ins or reports of beginning weight) -Each time you do a 30 minute workout you can earn 1 point. The most you can get in a day is 1 point (so no extra points for 30+ minutes), 7 points in a week is the most allowable points. It is important to mix up types of workout. So days that are more of an off-cardio day I suggest a 30 minute or more walk to let your body repair. The point is to get regular exercise while still being mindful that your body needs to be respected and not overworked- so do have days where you do lighter exercises too, versus always cardio. - The beginning of the competition week is on a Monday. You post your own total of points for the week on Mondays by 12 noon. I will total your running totals for the combined week. - Each person in the competition puts in a non-refundable $10 toward the winning prize. Whoever gets the most points by Dec. 30th wins the prize money. If there is a tie the money will be divided between the winners equally. - sharing of daily exercise that you did or favorite workouts or swapping of workout dvds/blurays is encouraged. - also, it is suggested that if you are doing this competition and also trying to lose weight/inches that you personally track your weight weekly and take measurements for your own personal records. It certainly can be encouraging to see those inches lost go up and the weight go down!
