Hello. If you wouldnt mind posting this, it would be great and it would really help send awareness. Yesterday 8/16, a group of friends and I were at Blue Hole ~ a local swimming spot on the Cheat River off of Bull Run. There were a group of people up from us sitting on rocks and standing on a rock in the river. These people were just throwing their beer cans and beer bottles into the River. We literally saw 2 glass bottles and over a case of Natural Light beer cans float by us. When they left there were an additional ~50 some empty beer cans on the rocks where they were standing. We even saw a girl swim out to a rock in the middle of the river, knock the two beer cans off the rock into the water, and then swim away. This was sickening and infuriating. Most of the people had NJ license plates. Not to say that there werent other people doing this as well - we just recognized some of the people driving out at the end of the day. We shouted and asked the people to clean their trash multiple times without anything being done. We collected as many cans from the river as we could and put them in bags to take out. The reason for this post is this... TAKE YOUR TRASH OUT. BRING A TRASH BAG. THROW YOUR EMPTIES IN THE COOLER. Why ruin a fun spot? Why pollute the Cheat River after its rebounded from mining pollution years back? Just because you throw things in the river doesnt mean they just magically disappear.
