Hello LOLA volunteers! The SRLA Friendship Run is just around the corner. The event will take place on Sunday, February 2nd, at Hansen Dam. All volunteers are asked to be there by 6 a.m. There will be car parking available inside the park a short distance from the staging area. Once you arrive, please report to the volunteer check-in table near the start/finish line. This will probably be a good place for us to meet up as well, as depending where we are on the course, we will be transported together as a group. The volunteer tent will be marked with signs. Please be aware that it will be dark at 6 a.m. and there will be no lights in the park. However, event volunteers will be on site as early as 5 a.m. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt, snacks, water and juice. If you have any concerns about being hungry later in the day, it is recommended that you bring lunch and/or drinks (especially since we dont know how late we will be there). If you remember, we can finish anytime between noon and 2 p.m. depending where we are located on the course. Also, since we will be outside, please dress comfortably. For those volunteers that will be collecting volunteer hours, please let me know if you have a document that needs to be signed off or if LOLA will need to provide you with one.
