Hello Loudoun County / Dominion Swimming family, I have - TopicsExpress

Hello Loudoun County / Dominion Swimming family, I have confirmed that LCPS Swimming is at risk of being cut by the Loudoun County School Board during LCPS FY15 budget reconciliation. Please attend the meeting below AND e-mail the Loudoun County School Board [email protected] AND e-mail and/or call your Representative (Debbie Rose, Algonkian District, [email protected]; Brenda Sheridan, Sterling District, [email protected], Tom Reed, At Large, [email protected]; loudoun.k12.va.us/Page/1629 for your school/district) to provide input/feedback on LCPS FY15 budget reconciliation priorities/choices - specifying the low-cost, high-value, high-quantity&quality of student-athletes served by the opportunity of high school swimming - in swimming and in life. SPECIAL MEETING ANNOUNCEMENTS: The School Board will hold a special meeting on the FY 15 Budget on both Tuesday (4/1) and Wednesday (4/2). The aim of these meetings is for the Board to begin identifying possible areas for budget reductions to fill or reconcile the near $38 million gap in funding likely to be allocated by the Board of Supervisors and the School Boards adopted budget. The meeting on Tuesday, April 1, will begin a 6:30pm and be held in the auditorium of Farmwell Station Middle School. The Board will take public input on budget reconciliation at the start of the meeting (2 minutes per speaker). Speaker sign-ups can be done in advance by calling the Superintendents Office (571-252-1020) or in person in advance of the start of the meeting. The meeting on Wednesday, April 2, will begin at 6:30pm and be held in the main board room at the LCPS Administration building in the Broadlands. No public input will be taken at this meeting, as it conflicts with an opportunity for public input to the Board of Supervisors.
