Hello Lovelies! Thank you for all the well wishes and support- as a longtime care-giver, it is tricky to become the care-receiver, and I so appreciate how my peeps are there for me. Heres the update: Today at Dana-Farber (now will be referred to as wdf?!), Maia, my mom Anne, and I met with the oncological surgeon and NP. Based on the results of the scans and pathology reports, the doc recommends removal of the right thyroid lobe (aka The Lone Lobe) as well as excision on the left side of my neck of at least one if not more salivary glands and numerous lymph glands. This was the unawesome news I wanted to avoid, and I glared at the surgeon extensively, but she pretended not to notice. I am waiting to hear from her office with a surgery date while simultaneously reaching out to every health care contact in my arsenal just to be sure that everyone agrees with this plan. Thanks everybody for your ongoing love and support- from me, my family, and my neck. More news to come.
