Hello Moms and Dads advice please! Sorry for the ramble...Jacob has now had a cold (not sure) for almost 3 weeks (hes 22 months). At 2 weeks it had almost dissipated (and guilt we went away), and then at the end of last weekend it started up again with a deep cough. Took him to dr and she didnt give him oral medications but gave him 2 inhalers (ventolin and flovent) and said to take those for a week. We cant him to take them unless we brace him down...we have tried lots of other things...even made games and such. horrible. Real question...is it normal for a doctor to NOT prescribe an oral medication at this point? Anyone have their kid with this type a cough at 3weeks and not be a big deal?. Im super paranoid b/c I dont want him to have my asthma :(
