CONTACT PERSON: yasarcetin1@yahoo Yasar Cetin English teacher Description of the Project : The aim of our project is to explore reasons and results of dropout of school , and motivate our students to present their hometowns and exchange knowledge about the history, tradition and culture of their countries. Dropout of school is such a serious problem that we will work at school level in specific strategies in order to discuss and develop the efficient and possible approaches to solving it.We can provide some improvements of dealing with dropout prevention in our schools.One of the teachers with local authorities from each partner school will identify and diagnose the situation in each mobility activity.In group discussions with teachers,parents and authorities, solution strategies will be developed , and the interested parents and their children will be encouraged to take part in our project work.The research and findings will be evaluated in each meeting.We will also share our practices and knowledge on the most effective ways to overcome early school leaving. The students involved in the project will write their ideas, observations and experiences about those who are at risk of early school leaving.They will investigate their hometowns, be encouraged to explore the life in their region, its needs, cultural heritage and learn more about its history, natural features and tradition. We don’t intend to stay in a superficial, touristy presentation.We will work together critically to discover common values, cultural aspects and reality of dropout.In this way, we can trace the cultural influences among us and underline the diversity of the European cultural lifestyles and for smart, sustainable and inclusion.The project tasks will also improve our linguistic and communicative skills and will improve ICT skills.
