Hello Once Again, fellow admirers of the compositions, recordings, and performances of Gordon Merideth Lightfoot (or whatever moniker you prefer). Forgive me my settled ways, but I have decided to continue the polling in my fashion, leaving the commentary to those who choose to commentate (is that a word?). I have another sub-category for you, the inspiration of which came from such commentating. I called it Gord Uncorked...songs alluding to those driven to drink. Gord has lots of them. Ill arbitrarily choose three today, and here they be: 1.Deck The Halls was the song they played In the flat next door where they shout all day.She tips her gin bottle back till its gone,The child is strong. A week, a day, they will take it away For they know about all her bad habits (Circle of Steel) 2. And as I wander to the cities and the towns I get so lonesome knowing you could be around. And when the show is over, theres a holiday motel Another empty bottle and another tale to tell. (Ordinary Man) 3.Im on my second cup of coffee and I still cant face the day .Im thinking of the lady who got lost along the way. And if I dont stop this trembling hand from reaching for the phone Ill be reaching for the bottle Lord, before this day is done . (Second Cup Of Coffee) Heres a little Tip regarding a nip...Dont get all bottled up over making a selection. THIS POLL IS OFFICIALLY OPEN AT 6:21 AM EST MARCH 31, 2014 AND WILL CONCLUDE IN ABOUT 24 HOURS. HAVE A DICE NAY, ER UMMM... HAVE A DOOD GAY! SHHESH...TEA MARTOONIES AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENS!
