Hello Pack 121 Families; Some of you may be aware that I have - TopicsExpress

Hello Pack 121 Families; Some of you may be aware that I have been trying to organize a service project for our cub scouts. We had preliminary plans for a can food drive organized through Oxbow School. Unfortunately, there was some confusion and the 3rd grade classes already had a food drive in the works. It is great for our community to have multiple service projects! I would encourage everyone to support the 3rd grade classes this Holiday season. That being said, Kathleen Paduchowski has found us an alternative. Royal Oak Beaumont Childrens Hospital has graciously accepted our offer of hand-made Christmas Cards from our cub scouts. Kathy also discovered a Treasure Chest Wish List. These items are given to the pediatric patients for Holiday gifts, end of chemotherapy gifts, during medical procedures or just when the children are having bad days. Additional items are used for the playrooms that the children can utilize during their stay in the hospital. It is our goal to receive donations from our pack families, so that we may fill a large basket and give this to the Hospital along with our Christmas Cards. The cost of items needed vary in price. I realize that this is a difficult financial time for all, but please remember, even the smallest donation can provide a smile*:) happy. At the end of this email, a shortened list of items is provided along with helpful tips to consider. If you have any further questions, please contact Kathleen at kath004@hotmail or myself at [email protected] or 248.698.7731. This Friday Dec 5th, please meet at the Commerce Masonic Lodge at 7pm. The boys will be making Christmas cards, a drop off box will be available for donations. If you didnt have time to shop before the meeting, please consider donating a $1 or $2. A box will be provided for that as well. In addition, some of the boys will be decorating another drop box for my husbands work location. We are hoping for additional donations to be added to our pack family donations. The pack will be providing hot cocoa at the end of our service project, I thought it might be fun for the boys to have a treat as well. I will be sending out a sign up genius invite, if any families would like to bring a treat to share, please feel free to complete this sign up. Lastly, I hope all of you will consider attending Friday night. This is a great way for our boys to work together and spread some Holiday Cheer to those in need*;) winking.
