Hello Parents and Guardians! The final week of school is just around the corner, and this year we thought we would revive an old tradition here at CNPS as a means to give our elementary students a proper summer send off! Just as was done back when I was in elementary school, we are looking to take our Junior Kindergarten thru 6th grade students for a fun-filled field trip to Iron Mountain City Park on Wednesday, June 4th, the second-to-last day of school. Students, their teachers, and a number of instructional aides will depart on several buses for Iron Mountain from our school around 9:00 am, where they will spend the school day playing at the picnic grounds in City Park, before returning to school to board the afternoon bus for home. A sack lunch will be provided by the school for each student, but they are free to bring their own snacks as well. We’re counting on warm weather, but it’s probably a good idea to send a sweatshirt or light jacket with your child just in case the weather turns cooler. Thank you all so much for another wonderful school year, and please don’t hesitate to contact me here at the school office via email ([email protected]) or by phone (906-639-2171) if you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding our trip on the 4th. Sincerely, Adam Cocco Interim Superintendent Carney-Nadeau Public School
