I think you will find it to be another amazing issue filled with great activities and memorable occasions. In the months to come, we have more events that you will surely want to attend. -I’m sorry to tell you of two deaths in our community. Manny Katsounakis, of Manny’s Plumbing, passed away on Monday after a long illness. His funeral is on Friday at 9:30 a.m. The wake is Thursday evening at Forestiere in East Longmeadow. -Also, Phil Ghareeb, the patriarch of our Lebanese community, died unexpectedly this evening. His funeral will be on Monday morning at the Cathedral through Sampson. Details on the wake have not been settled yet. May God rest their souls. -Tomorrow evening, January 22, at 7 p.m., I will be at Christ Church Cathedral on Chestnut Street (the Episcopal Church) for an Ecumenical Prayer Service for Christian Unity. Leaders from all of the major faiths in our area will be attending. I will be offering a prayer during the service. Of course, the public is invited and encouraged to attend. -With all of the inclement weather we are having, please be sure to check our web site or call the church before attending any events.
