Hello Relatives, John Savino, informed me of a Donnelly dying at Andersonville, during the Civil War, I have 4 persons of interest: James C Donnelly, Enlisted: 13 Aug 1861, at Hartford, 2 battalion, heavy Cavalry, Died: 21 April 1864 at Andersonville, He was captured at Gettysburg, Pa. Rank of Sgt. #2, Peter, muster at Camp Scott, October 1861, 70th regiment, POW in October, 1863, Peters record, shows he was a deserter, AWOL, AWOL was excused because he was captured. #3, Michael, Mustered May 1861, New York City, Died Unknown date, Rank: Sgt. on June 3, 1863. #4, Edward J., Mustered 82nd INF, August 1862, MIA at Bristol Station supposed capture, died, May 1864, Edward,pedigree, 511, 24 years, machinist, with gray eyes, brown hair, dark complexion, #5, there was another Edward Donnelly, mustered at Jamaica, on October 1864, He survived the war.
