Hello! Right......News! First of all Joo-Lee has contacted me and asked if I & another would be interested in getting some teacher training? She has been Talking to some of the Arts council People and thinks it would be funded so it would be free or low cost. We would need to be an enthusiastic group! So the first question is.......does anyone want to come with me and learn to teach Lindy hop? Secondly, as you know Ive been looking to make this group a little more permanent and I have had a few lovely offers of help. With that in mind Id like to invite anyone who is interested to meet with us in the Tankerville Arms in Eglingham at 8pm on Monday 22nd September. We will be discussing all the ins and outs of making our group more official, which will help us in the future if we want to apply for funding, windmills pending. I hope you can join us, dont worry if you cant well keep you up to date. And finally, Ive been told today that the Village hall has just received their funding for the much awaited sound system. So... we will be able to plug our phones in and crank up the Count Basey & Duke Ellington. Hurrah! It dont mean a thing if you aint got that swing!
