Hello #TeamAntijigger more facts on the jigger menace:- Once the pregnant female jigger flee has laid its eggs and the eggs fallen off, it dies inside the skin and forms sores or wounds. To treat the infection/sores and to also kill the flea with its eggs, we use POTASSIUM PERMANGANATE. Potassium permanganate is a mild, odorless astringent and antiseptic that is used to treat sores, blisters and external weeping wounds. Mix a table spoonful of potassium permanganate to 5 liters of water and soak the affected areas at least 3 times a day for 2 weeks to achieve full treatment. NB:- It leaves a purple color on the skin which clears off with time.
